Traditionally, the strong point of the Ford Mondeo can be considered a reliable chassis, which combines a fully independent suspension (front McPherson and rear multi-link), and disc brakes front and rear. The tuning characteristics provide excellent driving performance – in terms of comfort and confident cornering, facilitated by high energy intensity. In top trim levels, a suspension stiffness system is also offered. But the insufficiently high ground clearance obliges Mondeo owners to be more careful about road obstacles.

In terms of safety, Ford Mondeo shows excellent results not only in crash tests, which are facilitated by a new, improved platform but also in terms of equipment.
